We hope this finds you well.
We’re all of us in the middle of a fast & sweeping whirlwind. New health & safety measures are announced from our local and national governments daily – and sometimes hourly – to deal with COVID-19 (Coronavirus). As we each try to understand how it will affect us, our families and our workplaces, we wanted to reach out to you, our valued Clients.
Certainly, there are many things on your mind as you adjust to these new life and workplace realities. We just want you to know that Nerds On Site is here for you, with your trusted Nerds, to serve you whether on site or remotely.
Here are the guidelines we have provided to our Nerds worldwide to ensure your safety…
Please know that our Clients need us now as much as ever. Many may be working hard to cope with this new reality and looking to technology to help them work remotely or move parts of their businesses online. We are in a perfect position to help our Clients address these issues seamlessly, smoothly and most importantly, securely.
To that end please read on and adhere to the following:
1 – REMOTE SERVICE WHENEVER POSSIBLE:
Remote service whenever possible! Please offer this to Clients as an initial option – many Clients will be relieved to know we can help them without coming onsite.
BeyondTrust (formerly Bomgar) is available to all team members – secure and easy for Clients to use as well. It even works for mobile devices.
2 – ON SITE WHEN REQUIRED:
If you must go on site PLEASE do everything in your power to stay safe and follow Health Guidelines which are being published and promoted online by health authorities:
WHO – https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/advice-for-public
Minimally we should be exercising the following precautions when onsite:
- Social distancing
- avoid physical greetings with Clients
- maintain 1-2 metre distance between yourself and Clients
- have hand sanitizer and use BEFORE and AFTER touching Client equipment, or if no sanitizer is available:
- Use plastic wrap over keyboard/mouse
- Bring your own keyboard/mouse and have the Client remove theirs so that you do not touch it.
- Ask the Client to open the door for you when arriving/leaving
3 – LIMIT IN-PERSON INTERACTIONS:
Any non-essential in-person face to face interactions with Clients can be conducted over our company ZOOM video account.
4 – ONGOING SELF-ASSESSMENT:
** Most importantly – IF you experience any sense of unwellness including the symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (fever, cough) please DO NOT go on site to Client locations. As directed by health authorities, either seek medical help, or self-quarantine when symptoms are mild.
Please know we are committed to easing any and all of your technology challenges during these remarkable times. We’re also here and committed to provide expert help and assistance in developing simple and secure remote-from-home solutions to you and your workplace, should you care to investigate.
You may have caught some of the amazing and creative moments of support and celebration taking place in this time of global crisis. Neighbours helping at risk neighbours they’ve never met doing their grocery shopping for them, sing-alongs and shared exercise sessions conducted on the balconies of apartment and condo complexes. We are resilient & we are caring, we are survivors!
THANK YOU for the opportunity to work with you, and be well.
